We are a friendly group of parents dedicated to helping make Maraetai Beach School the best it can be. We help out at school events and fundraise for the school. In the past we have raised funds for big and small projects including the following:

School pool upgrade – painting, new mats in changing rooms, new pool pump, new shade over all the seating areas
Sunshades around the School
Rugby Goal Posts
Cricket Nets
Playground upgrades
Branded Jackets for the staff

How you can help….
We always welcome new members. We meet once or twice a Term (usually with a glass of wine!) and there are always ways in which you can get involved. Some of our key fundraising initiatives include:

Our Team
Our Chair - Jessica lives in Beachlands with her husband, James, and her two boys: Harry (Intermediate) and Lachlan (Senior School). This role involves facilitating PTA Meetings, being the face of the PTA, and liaising with the Principal and the Board. You will see Jessica at school assemblies advising of our upcoming exciting events, and telling the children and parents all about what we have planned.
Feel free to approach her with any suggestions or questions.
Our Treasurer-Eileen Reid, who has recently taken over the role from Michelle Gover. This role is responsible for managing the PTA accounts and reporting on the financial position at PTA Meetings. The Treasurer also assists with any financial tasks relating to events, e.g. Floats, EFTPOS, banking etc.
Our Secretary - Gabi Dent. Gabi has two children at MBS, Harrison & Evelyn.
This role involves compiling agendas and minutes for PTA meetings. It also includes keeping policies and procedures up to date, and general communication to PTA members as required.As well as these executive roles by these dedicated mums, our team is also made up of other amazing members, some who have been with the PTA for many years and others who are new to the team.
We welcome anyone who would like to come along to our meetings (we are a friendly bunch and the meetings aren’t daunting). Our meetings take place on Mondays at 7.15pm in the staff room. We always welcome new faces and fresh ideas.
