At Maraetai Beach School we have developed an innovative and future-focussed E Learning environment. E-Learning refers to a broad range of activities that involve the use of information and communication technologies to support and enhance learning.

E-Learning is integrated into daily classroom life, across all curriculum areas using a variety of methods and devices. It is an area that is forever changing and evolving and we are focussed on being ‘content creators’ rather than ‘content consumers.’  

Digital technologies do not replace good teaching and effective learning but rather enhance them. E Learning is a vehicle for personalising learning in ways that ensure each student is fully engaged in learning and is successful in attaining established learning standards. It gives the students access to digital content and digital learning environments that provide multiple pathways to learning, and empowers our students to be to be life-long learners.
