Dear Parents/Caregivers

I hope you are all safe and well in your bubbles. Firstly, I want to acknowledge the work you are doing as parents to support your child’s learning. The expectation continues to be that all students try their best, complete the work they are able to and have fun! Learning will also look different for each household depending on your situation. Please do not put pressure on yourselves when it comes to completing distance learning.

Yesterday the Prime Minister advised that in Alert Level 2 schools are safe environments for children, young people and staff and that additional public health control measures are in place to prevent the spread of disease and to support contact tracing.

The good news is that when we are able to, we will be ready to welcome all students and staff back to our school site.

The decision about moving between Alert Levels will be announced by the Prime Minister on Monday 11 May. Once this decision has been made we will have a date confirmed for a return to school. As soon as I receive further information of what the Level 2 requirements for schools are we will keep you fully informed of how we are working to keep your child/children safe. Until then distance learning continues and the school continues to operate under the principles for Alert Level 3.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and all the mums are spoilt on Sunday.

Kind regards.

Mark Keenan
